Assessments

Yuba College students may use the Strong Interest Inventory, and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Profile described below, to assist them in making career decisions and developing their Student Educational Plans (SEP’s). A counselor referral is required to access these instruments. Access may be limited during busy testing periods, you must schedule an
appointment with the Assessment And Testing Center.

Strong Interest Inventory Profile:
The The Strong Interest Inventory® (Strong) assessment measures for students' interests in a broad range of occupations, work activities, leisure activities, and school subjects. Composed of 317 items, it provides results on 6 General Occupational Themes (RIASEC), 25 Basic Interest Scales, 211 Occupational Scales (109 contemporary occupations), and 4 Personal Style Scales.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Profile:
The Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment is the most widely used personality assessment in the world. With a proven record of reliability spanning more than 50 years, it offers a foundation for understanding individual differences and applying that understanding to the ways people think, communicate, and interact. Versatile and dependable, the MBTI tool sets the stage for lifelong learning and development.
